Something for my mother.
The friend she was.

My mother to me.
Now is hard to be.
No longer here at my side,
That's her wish by far and wide.
Times were hard, you couldn't bear.
That was tough to compare.
You hated all the pain.
That was never to drain.
You just couldn't suppress.
Life had become some weird mess.
So young you were, with life to lead.
Your light was dim, longing for need.
You knew your clock.
Was a ticking shock.
Things in your head, never to clear.
While you were still near.
Now your where you wanted
To be and free.
So much as a growing tree.
At peace, no pain.
Closest to those, that doesn't remain.
