Short poem about playing the game of love.
I never believed in love
It was a wasted game
Playing with peoples feelings
Is just the way you play
Then when you get so close
You cut them off
Just like hide and go seek
You can get lost
Confused and hurt is what you feel
Fun I know
Cuz it is real
Love happened to me
And I played the game
Up, down, over and around
I dogged the obstacles
And pain was found
But when it came time
I didn’t quite
I was alone in the game
With no one to play with
Lost was it
I asked why when I confronted myself
When they came back sorry is what they said
But that’s not how I felt
Now believing is dumb
And time after time
I play the game
I wish to believe
But I cannot
Because of what I felt
The first time I played
And I got lost along the way
If someone leads
Maybe it would help
To be ahead
And believe once again
But until then
Fait won’t come
In the wasted game of LOVE
