Ah, that first kiss...
JUST A KISS

It was just a kiss…
The reciprocal joining of lips.
Her facial muscles and mine
Coordinating efforts,
Culminating in the act
Of caressing with lips.

It was just a kiss…
As her tongue eagerly explored mine,
Her breath delicately stroked my cheeks
And her sweetness met my mouth.
My words fled, embarrassed by their inadequacy,
My heart beat out an organic affirmation of awe,
And maladroit muscles trembled with fervor
While every scintillated follicle stood at attention
Elatedly awaiting her next cue.

It was just a kiss…
But like none I’d ever felt before.
And it was at that instant
This tough girl discovered
Perfection could,
Even if only for a fleeting moment,
Become a delicious reality
And that reality could outshine
Even the most divine
Fantasy…
In just a kiss.
