An organized vent about getting kicked while you're down
Is this your faith in me?

A thousand calls unanswered on a soggy night
The phone ring reminds me of every fight.
What are your words to me today
Telling me what I've done wrong in every way.

Is this your faith in me?

A tireless task consumes every action,
Egg shells as land mines to judge your reaction.
I have no way of knowing when you'll explode,
No way of cracking your changing code.

Is this your faith in me?

Too much to ask is every question,
constantly leading me with misdirection.
Wanting so much, so soon, so fast
Telling me what I owed you in the past.

Is this your faith in me?

You doubt me in my time of need
so I will not bow down, beg, or plead.
All I'll do is look into your eyes
allowing only a single question to rise.

Is this your faith in me?
