The clock once again sounds the hour
When the day is done you are left
with just vultures around an old castle keep.
All Hallow's Eve comes to a close
with the stroke of midnight.

With just vultures around an old castle keep,
remember me and try not to scream.
With your last gasped choking breath,
you beg the darkness to go away.

All Hallow's Eve comes to a close.
Plastic Jack o' Lanterns unplugged,
costumes packed into boxes on a shelf,
candles snuffed out, candy wrappers thrown away.

With the stroke of midnight,
you trudge home from a costume party,
up your dark quiet street.
The spell is broken like a vulture's wing.
