More on a sad holiday
I am sitting, listening to sad music.
The sun is bright on the window shade,
but I just don't care.
I'd rather be with you.

The sun is bright outside.
I prefer gloom and sadness.
I'd rather be home with you
cuddling, while the snow falls outside.

I prefer gloom and sadness,
a tighter mantle to cover me,
cuddling while snow falls outside.
It's going to be a long winter.

A tighter mantle to cover me,
wrapped tight, closed shades, bringing gloom.
It's going to be a long winter,
with thousands of miles between us.

Wrapped tight, closed shades, bring gloom.
It's Thanksgiving Day, I don't feel grateful.
There are thousands of miles between us.
I guess I will forgo turkey and gravy.

It's Thanksgiving Day, I don't feel grateful.
Sitting, listening to sad music,
thousands of miles between us,
and I just don't care.
