Written from a mother longing to know about the children she gave up for adoption.

All I have are pictures
And a feeling from long ago,
Left alone to ponder things
The pictures do not show.

I wonder what your life is like
And if you think of me.
I wonder if you would like to meet
And just how that would be.

You call my Mom your Grandma
Though I have given you away.
So very, very long ago
I wonder what to say.

Now you are old enough
To possibly understand,
Why I had to give you up
How fate had took a hand.

But I must stay away
Until the time is right,
Until the parents you have now
Say it will be all right.

So I hold on to your picture
And keep it close at heart,
Then everything seems better
And we're not so far apart.

I wanted to add this review as it fits so much what I convey and adds a new quality my piece. Thanks embe.

In a moment in time
pictures in my mind
from long ago there,

alone to ponder why
you call me mother
when I left goodbye.

Adoption a new home
where will I find you
my tears of longing,

a dream in my mind
so close to my heart
God in mercy forgiven,

in this poem review
lovely for Kristiana
by embe in sympathy.

Simply Positive Review.
