The need to please others

Unsucessful


I rise and you miss it,
I fall and you see.
You longed for a star
but you got only me.

You laughed at the sorrow
that buried my soul.
You showed only disappointment
with every goal.

One day I'll be gone
and you still won't
know what's wrong.
If only once
you opened your eyes
and looked at just me.
