Profound wisdom can come from the mouth of child.
This is something that happened one ordinary day about five years ago while driving in the car with my five year old daughter.

I was driving her to her mothers house which is at the top of a hill. It is a gravel road that has a certain stretch that is rough and very bumpy.

This particular day rain had made a new rut or two causing my frustration to rise. In the middle of the ascent I barked, 'Man this hill's bumpy!!!' My five year old daughter responded happily with a smile, 'It's MY bumpy hill!' Wow, I was blindsided! Bumpy as it may be, it was 'her' hill with all the good AND the bad. She was happy to have it the way it was.

So the next time you think 'What does a child know?' don't be so sure.
