A dark poem to a vampire.
Let my blood say to you
All the things that my hands
Lips and body mean to say, but cannot do
All the things I wish I could say to you by words
But how useless they would be
They would not do
Such loveliness in you
Such fair and beauteous skin
Your pulchritude is a dear and darling thing
Nothing I can put into pointless human words

I know I cannot tell you in words what I mean
The same way my body cannot express what inside it screams
I would be daft not to realize your beauty
Trembling, because I can’t explain it
I almost turn to fury
I hold you in the night so close
Bedazzled by your Godly appearance
And in the morning light I seem to be morose
But worry not my love,
It’s only my helplessness.

At my inability
To explain your handsome face,
Not even close am I to come.
Your face, your hair,
Your lips, colored to the likeness of roses
Fair skin softer than petals…
Words are useless my darling
Just look into my eyes
Don’t find it appalling.
Startling, when you see your beauty
Leaves my mind reeling

My blood will tell you all you need to know.
That compared to the most magnificent thing,
It’s only you I see shining in the night.
