my only word for this was passion
You’re trying hard to stay awake,
Not back into that dreamy deep,
And though you tried to duck those sheep,
The midnight bell begins to break,
Along with visions hell must make,
That bore into your soul and keep,
If you should fall to sands of sleep,
The night’s dark rays will not forsake,

So rage against the dying light!
As Thomas, birds, and poets do,
For never fire hath burned so bright,
Now rise again in crested flame,
With passions love a kindled new,
And conquer night as thou old claim,
