Nature's pleasures

    Do I regret the past?
    Would I live it over again?
    What was lost?
    The joy the anguish;
    Is it better not to be me?

    The brook returned
    in swaying curents
    and rounded banks.

    Will I be guided
    to where wild animals live?
    Like a stag caught
    out of the wood in the glen
    for hunter's prey;
    I will be lost and taken.

    How green are the fields
    for locking antlers
    and steady bow and arrow.

    How wrong is the hunt?
    Where is the oldest stag?
    I go along upward
    until I reach the Wall.

    So again the question
    is dealt.
    How many leaves have fallen?
    How many will fall
    before there are no more?
