The final confession.
MY CONFESSION

Lord, I have confessed my sins,
All those I committed.
I am, however, not sure
If I benefited.

I have often promised that
I would not sin again.
But I cannot curb desire.
From sin I can’t refrain.

This cycle has repeated
Without ever stopping:
Sinning, confession, sinning,
And again confessing.

Now I am rather too old,
Even sins are tiresome.
It’s my confession, the last,
Before to you I come.
