When evening falls we smile.
Reds, yellows, gold,
smear western skies
in strokes hearty, bold.

Someone sage and wise
spoke of nature's palette,
a wonderful surprise.

All day is a silhouette,
a far vague shadow,
when eve's beauty's met.

Magic as sun rays go,
illuminate cloud base;
a bright rainbow glow.

A smile paints my face,
as day and night race.
