The young boy has to leave behind his old ways
As I enter; I depart from main street
And for the first time our eyes meet
Speaking in silence and very discreet
This is the time in which our souls greet

The flower girl still carries the roses
As the mime still strikes the poses
The gentelman stands by the lady he noticed
And the carpenter has a new novice

Yet alone you and I stand
As if to be strangers in this land
Out the window trees pass by again and again
Like the time we waste as we lay in pretend

Into the tunnel and into the night
Inside lit by the locomotive's light
you and I together overcome fright
And just enjoy this wonderful delight

Just as we get to the comfort and relaxation
Approaches a train from another station
Everything that is within this creation
Is destined for it's final destination

The rails guide us straight into it's path
The train she used to take caught up at last
Chaos is now the common act
As all the passengers run into her past

At the moment of truth we see clearly
whose actions were played sincerely
All this time acting dearly
The real souls come out as death is nearing

The gentleman holds the lady in his arms
The flower girl holds the flowers alarmed
The mime puts his hand over his mouth perfecting his art
The carpenter and apprentice break the doors apart
Yet she seems so far away like this person has no heart

Crash we all go flying around
In this train the world renown
We all wait to hear the sound
That greets after destruction is found

Underneath the rubble and planks of wood
I rest in a worn out body
Shoes and clothes all torn and ugly
She dug me out and exposed my body

She said "get up and put these on"
The carpenters boots and the clothes were his son's
Willing to fight life kept on...
What happened to the other ones'

We walked to see and look around
With every step was the reality found
The carpenter was dead laying on the ground
as was the flower girl in her beautiful gown
The mime silent as always; never made a sound
The gentleman died with the lady in his arms and you and I are still around?

I took a rose and put it in her hair
Pretty sure that the flower girl wouldn't care
And like the gentleman gave up his chair
I walk fom this train happy and aware

To overcome death is just by chance
To live is  reason enough  to dance
Now we both take our hands

and like hundreds of the mime's stances
We dance in the presence of each other's glances

Off to the distance we see
A sign that barely reads
"End of the line"and now it's just you and me
