From birth we are taught lessons; like everything in life, the lessons slowly get harder.
From birth, we a taught. We are taught by our parents and
older relatives, even older siblings.

We are taught a language in small words and phrases; then
more specific, like colors, name, things.

The lessons are easy at first, but like everything else,
they get progressively harder.

Soon we are taught right and wrong. We are taught as though
it is simple, but it is never simple.

Later our teachers become our peers, and we learn from them
what it is to care; to love; to hate; and to want. We also learn from our peers
defiance and rebellion; independence.

Around the mid point of our tragically short lives, we learn
our previous lessons over, in greater detail. Our teachers here are mostly
ourselves.

After that point in life we learn what it is to endure. Our
teachers here are our mistakes we must live with.

When we come of age and bear our own children, we learn as
we are teaching. We learn that the world can indeed be innocent, if the viewer has
the right mindset.

Our children teach us as much, if not more than we teach
them throughout the remainder of our short lives.

When we are old we are considered wise, but we never stop
learning.

When we are near death, we learn what forgiveness means; we
can now, so close to our own ends, forgive those who have wronged us.

The final lesson we learn in life is what Death’s face looks
like.
