A twisted Easter poem to my wife.
My Sweet

Your eyes, two cocoa beans in milk
Your skin, butter thinned, carmel silk
Tinted cream.
Your lips, a lollipop licked
A glossy red
Your hair, layered chocolate wisps
Drizzled carefully atop your truffle head.

Your legs, your arms, your neck,
Stretched marshmallow
Gold roasted.
Your breasts, untoasted marshmallow drops,
Unstretched, topped
With each its own cherry top.

Your belly, vanilla bean ice cream,
Your brains, gummy worms in knots,
Your strawberry heart pumping syrup through licorice veins - untart -
And taut
'Round bones of pepperminted canes,

You are sweet ingredients brought to life would seem.
My wife,
A confection conniseur's dream.
