A poem from the soul
As the sweet smell of lilacs wafted upon the early morning breeze,

I walked along a wooded path that lead to some giant maple trees.

A tiny sound came drifting to my ears, I knelt beside a small mound.

My mind began to buzz like a thousand bees in a giant swarm.

My heart was racing a mile a minute as my legs began to shake.

Oh Lord, I prayed, what is happening to me, this feeling I cannot take?

A boom of thunder so loud it shook the trees came.

Suddenly, the little mound where I was kneeling was not the same.

The departed were slowly arising from their places of rest.

I know now that God only wanted me to be just a guest.
