Confessing feelings of love
You don’t need to know the way
I’ve felt all these days.
I don’t need to share with you
my hopes and all my fears.
You don’t need to know the thoughts
I think when I see you.
All the times I smile, and cry,
the things you make me do.
I don’t need to tell you how
you give me butterflies.
The way my day seems brighter
when I look into your eyes.
I can't tell you it's your name
that's carved into my heart.
The way I feel the distance
every time we are apart.
You can't know you’re my final thought
before I fall asleep.
Because I know that while you lay
you never dream of me.
You can't know just how I feel
when you look my way.
Or how just listening to you laugh
can take the fear away.
I can’t let you know that all I’ve written here
is true.
But all of it was implied I guess
when I told you 'I love you'.
