A poem for my grandmother
The freshly fallen snow covered the land before me.

It crunched beneath my feet, setting my soul free.

I walked slowly into a grove of ice covered trees.

The whispers of Jack Frost echoed on the chilly breeze.

I found myself among the hanging weeping weeping willows.

Their drapping branches reminders of fluffy pillows.

My heart was lost far up in the the white clouds.

I saw the heavens covered in purple shrouds.

I was at the mercy of this quiet wonder.

I longed to walk to the mountains afar up yonder.

The old oak at the far edge of my path stood so tall.

My steps whispered as new snow began to fall.

My journey was filled with the wonders of the night.

I hungered for these dreams within my sight.

I fell to my knees, tears rolling down my face.

I was looking at God's love, His amazing grace.
