What happens when a friend leaves you...the heart is full of sorrow.
Ramón Girón-Meléndez

The last time we met I was laughing of love
This time we met, and I was crying of love
The heartache I felt was not of pain,
But of overwhelming passion

The weeks passed like days,
The hours passed like seconds,
I would start the day with a smile,
And end it walking on home,
All of those lonely miles

But I’ve learned that you’re a gift of life
And just like you were suddenly brought by Life
Life suddenly took you away

All I have are the memories and I’ll just have to wait out the weeks
Before you get thrown back again into me

I’ll lean on my patience and memories,
Hoping you’ll end up just around the corner,
A thrust into my life.
