Not sure how I feel about these emotions.
I remember when I was the man to your woman,
the air you breathed,
your throaty sigh of passion.
Once I was the rays that poured through yon' window.

Now I see the moon rising in the night sky.
I used to think it held your face,
now it barely illuminates
our dust covered portrait.

Remember dreams shared together,
how they lightened
even the darkest day.
I wonder when they stopped,
and why dreams go away.

The picture still smiles
and our eyes still gleam
from behind dirty glass
and obscured frame.

I remember when I was the man to your woman,
the air you breathed,
your throaty sigh of passion.
Once I was the rays that poured through yon' window.
