For site-wide dissemination on the new avatar of Authors' Spotlight
Dear Authors/Visitors,

This communique is in connection with
AUTHORS' SPOTLIGHT - Season 6  (18+)
A 15 - day challenge to WDC authors and writers.
#1349008 by 30DBC Creator/Founder
As you can see, the ownership of this contest has been transferred by Earl (30DBC Creator/Founder ) to me as he finds it difficult to devote time to so many activities. I will try and carry this banner forward with the same zeal and honesty that he has shown in the previous four seasons.

Thank you, Earl!

Author's Spotlight is now "Authors' Spotlight". In this new avatar, it returns to entice and encourage you all to write feverishly. The format of this competition is almost the same as that which prevailed under the guidance of 30DBC Creator/Founder ; a few minor tweaks are in place and you can visit the main forum to read about the changes.

The BIG difference is the way the Group Item is to be tackled. This time, you and your group members will get the entire 6 days to complete and submit the group task. To see how various group members did a group item when I took part in season 3, take a look at this item:

This will need a passkey, which is 1234. Check out the in and out we had created. This is not to preempt the group task, but to just show you how it can be done with cooperation from the group members, despite the different time-zones.

The tasks for each day will be two in number; while some will be in the form of creating new static items, some may involve interviewing, some, reviewing, and some ... will be surprises.

Like all the previous seasons, I urge you all to participate in large numbers and make this season also a huge success!

If you have G.P.s to donate, kindly donate here:

As this will be the first time I am going to host AS, I certainly need the donations! Thank you.

Why they joined Authors Spotlight? *Down*

"Why I Joined Authors Spotlight"   by Sssssh! I'm not really here.

*Idea*"The answer is simple. I felt as if my writing was getting a little stagnant. I needed a jump start--FAST! I have been presented with new tasks that I may not have done had they not been attached to this wonderful contest. I loved the challenge!"

"Invalid Entry - raino

*Idea*"The tasks included a variety of activities and exposed the participants to the many areas and offerings on WDC.I joined the Authors Spotlight Competition because I felt it would be a great way to learn my way around WDC, plus meet some new people."

Hanna

*Idea*"I joined Authors Spotlight because I wanted to be challenged. I have always been hesitant to try writing in different genres, and Authors Spotlight seemed to be just what I needed to get past that. Also, having seen the contributions to the WDC community by the Authors Spotlight contestants from Round 1, I wanted to be a part of that. Everything about Authors Spotlight seemed to be something I would enjoy."

I Love WDC! Cissy❤

*Idea*"I learned so much from the last Authors spotlight contest as a judge, Your contest is awesome! Authors Spotlight is still a harder challenge and learning experience! Take care my friend."

AUTHORS SPOTLIGHT JINGLE (Season 1) - (Group Task)

Author's Spotlight standing strong,
While many people play along.
Seeking knowledge everywhere,
Trying to write with added flare,
Yearning, learning, and striving to,
We're always writing something new!

Poetry and mystery, children's writing.
Feeling like playhouse, please no fighting,
Teaching, giving, submit my review
What makes writing, writing makes you.
Six whole days, a lounge, some tea
What will day three be for me?

Competing first just like the rest.
Groups work to win this contest.
Jot handle here, post debate now,
Morning emails lift a brow.
Author's Spotlight, that's who we are,
The best of the best are here by far.
