Kentucky has been my home for seventy five years.

Kentucky

Kentucky as a state is rural and small.
There is a few big cities among them all.
Down home to some Hillbilly to another.
If a Kentuckian you are a blood brother.

United we stand divided we fall is true.
This saying is unique as to what we do.
We love who we are and all we're not.
Our pride and respect amounts to a lot.

Take us for granted we won't be a friend.
Deceive me and our friendship will end.
I will give you my shirt if you're in need.
As long as you show me respect indeed.

Believe what I said for I meant every word.
My words are as true as any you've heard.
We guys who live in the state of Kentucky.
We were born and bred and indeed lucky.

If you call Kentucky your home be proud.
Don't let someone call you dumb out loud.
Let it be known you're from Kentucky to all.
I love the state I'm from Kentucky, You all.
