Billy Gene Manhart passed12/14/1991. Now with the King in Glory. See you soon Daddy.
Southern Gentleman

He stood out from the other men,
with his kind and gentle ways.
His manners were impeccable,
and seemed from bygone days.

A meal of ham and collard greens,
was to him,fit for a king.
He loved to drink iced tea outside,
and hear the wild birds sing.

Though humble he was to be sure,
His knowledge it was vast.
He would talk of many subjects,
from the present and the past.

He was not rich in money,
but compassion he never lacked.
He valued his integrity,
out of conscience he would act.

Will future kin speak of him?
That remains to be seen.
I who loved him called him "Daddy",
but his given name was Gene.
