I wanted to make this sweet girl my wife.

Across The Street

A nice girl moved in across the street.
She is sweet, sassy, and very petite.
She walks with a bounce in her step,
Voice that would melt sugar, you bet.

I noticed her on the day she moved in.
I said I hope she becomes my friend,
So I plotted to give myself a chance,
To meet this girl I wanted to romance,

Now she's the mother of our baby girl.
Angel, brought a princess to my world,
So now I have two apples of my eyes,
My wife and baby they're truly a prize.

I pray God keeps them happy and safe.
He gives many blessings for their sake,
Seldom, does men have a love like mine,
It gets stronger with the passing of time.

This girl who became my precious wife.
She's is the girl who moved into my life.
He knew when she moved on my street.
I'd love and cherish my wife complete.
