A boy and girl contemplate what their time in the pool will bring.

Tiny toes tempt ripples of water,
side by side, plotting an adventure.
Fingers entwined, a bond of friendship
shared between these two small, sweet souls.

"If we were free from stupid floaties,
I'd make a thunderous splash right now,
swimming faster than snaggletooth sharks,
searching for monsters to snap in two."

"You're such a boy; my way is better!
I'll become a magical mermaid,
in a castle filled with pink tiny turtles.
You rescue me from snaggletooth sharks."

Eyes twinkling, giggling without reason,
chlorine and coppertone filling senses.
Wonderful wetness beckons young dreams.
One, two, three - jump!  Fantasies live.
