Science project!! All about funny fungi
Fungi, heterotrophic multi-cellular organisms, are anything but boring.
Their asexual method of reproduction is, of course, sporing.

There is no better way to spread these unicellular haploids then by the wind,
Though the basic structures of club fungi may seem rather thick-skinned.
The gills in the fruiting body are all hide, and no show.
Hyphae tightly woven together, or mycelium, a name collectively bestown.

One job of the fungi that is not meant to flatter,
Is growing and thriving on decomposing matter.
Keeping our Earth green, and taking away death is quite an issue,
Though most fungi turn hated when they grow on live tissue.

In an act of symbiosis, and not slaughter, fungi will attach to tree roots.
The tree gets minerals, the fungi water; all is good when nature is in cahoots.

In all my sweet fungi,
You can be one fun guy.
