An exploration of the reflections of someone that's just been betrayed.
How does it feel to be betrayed?
Does it impale like a painful stab through the chest,
Or does it prick like a thousand needles into the neck?
Does it hurt like the death of a loved one,
Like watching your own mother hacked into tiny pieces?
Mayhaps it blinds like the viscious venom of a desert cobra,
Similar to the agony of hearing your own bones crush within the grasp of a merciless constrictor.
Undoubtedly, it's a feeling slightly akin to drowning in familiar waters,
Grasping frantically for the distant shores as you sink into inexorable oblivion,
Seeing yourself suffocate ever so slowly,
No one to pull you out as you hear your heart beat for the last time.
Tell me which is worse;
To go willingly to Hell,
Or to have the ones you trust sell you off to Heaven?
