Short prose about unrequited passion
I accept the fact that I was always in love,

do still love,

always will be in love with you.

I cannot change this fact any more

that I can change the fact that I need oxygen to breathe.

I also accept the fact that you cannot,

will not,

do not love me.

This fact I also cannot change.

That is solely within your realm to change

or to keep the same.

All I can do is continue to love you,

be myself,

and hold my tongue when my heart bursts,

trying desperately to hold in the words

I dare not utter.
