Our day of rest is dedicated to all. Happy Labor Day!
Celebrate Labor Day

Cooking on grills, beneath the round sun,
Eating barbequed ribs is divine.
Looking at your children, outside having fun,
Endless blue shows the city’s skyline.
Baseball games on TV, our team is ahead,
Racing cars on a smooth, lively track.
All schools are enjoying a holiday instead
Than with kid’s homework that was put in a backpack.
Endless miles driven happily, for a short, fun trip to the beach.
Live wild animals who are at home in a visitor packed zoo.
A fun park with rides, to make your mother screech,
Big movies with heroes who are true blue.
Our day is begun with thanks for all who work hard,
Real friends who make our life one of the best.
Day and night thousands of jobs we might disregard
As our country and freedoms are blessed.
Yes, we have earned our September day of rest.

There are many people who have recently been laid off. I hope that by next year, they can celebrate Labor Day with the joy of working and the income they earned, that they have known in the past.
