A discussion on the ideas of free will and regret
When I was at [what I thought was] my lowest point
I'd ask myself how I had arrived at this place
Contemplate every action [I thought] I could have changed
All the different choices [I thought] I could have made
That would have led to a different outcome

No matter what plans I made I only fell further down
Into my pit of shame
Until the day I realized
I could not have done otherwise

Why should I feel guilt for anything I've done?
Free will is an illusion

Everything you've ever done, thought, or felt
Has a causal history
An unbroken chain of events set into motion
Long before you came into being

So surrender your vindictiveness
Surrender your grudges
And leftover hatred from past injustice
