Fall in all its glory
Trees that are green
Green from late summer showers
Sway in the wind
To a rhythm no one knows
The days once so long
Become shorter and shorter
The trees that sway ever so softly
Start a long nap
Leaves that distinguish each tree
Chage to show their true colors
No longer green
But red, orange, yellow, and brown
For the first time in a leave’s life,
It touches the ground
The ground welcomes the leaf
Rejoices as it covers its cold surface
Before long all the leaves fall
Trees left bare
Mother Nature’s body covered
Ready to begin winter
Children play, dance, and stomp
Mother Nature smiles
She smiles for man’s ablity
To accept her bountiful gifts
Gifts of color
As all her body
Is engulfed with the many colors of Fall
