A sonnet of true love, broken.
Tonight, I concede these words of true love

Revealing reasons of my existence,

Connecting puzzles of life’s divergence

That may this utterance reveal the truth,

Of how much I’m willing to live for you



These mountains to climb and rivers to ride—

Yes, I’ll take them all with you by my side

In this eighth line, I proclaim: I Love You

And ‘til I die, this is what I would do



The night shines with light with your smile so bright

Your eyes reassure that this feeling’s right

You’re perfectly molded,

sent from above—

The last puzzle piece that defines “true love”



But then you walked away from me—

Maybe we’re just not meant to be…
