"So many things seem pointless without you."
It's startling to realize
How much I'm beginning to rely on you.
When you're not there
It affects everything.

Things that used to be so entertaining and lively
Are now dulled in comparison to being with you.
Not that they're not interesting anymore
But my priorities have switched.

The last thing I want to be is desperate
That I have no life without you
And I don't think I'm to that yet
But so many things seem pointless without you.

Now, don't worry, I'm keeping my distance
As best as I can.
I mean, you never know when your life will change forever
And I don't want to be a broken shell if you're not in it.

For now, I'll be devoted to you and only you,
And I'll be there to hold your hand.
Though, even if you're not there to hold mine,
I'll be okay. I promise.
