merging your viewed self and who you are inside
Green and Green
Our eyes meet
Time in time
Our hearts beat

One person we are
Two faces we show
One filled with wonder
The other with woe

Our motions are matched
Expressions the same
Two halves of a whole-
One wild, one tame

I look at myself
See who I’ve become
And my two faces
Blur into one

I know I can’t live
Just half of my life
Because I know good
I know I’ve seen strife

I look at the me
That’s shown in the glass
I look in my eyes,
The emotions that pass

I reach out my hand
Our fingertips meet
The smooth of the glass
The lack of life’s heat

I look in the mirror
That half of my soul
And wonder what turns
Two halves into ‘whole’
