I watched an old man on his walk and formed an opinion based on his body language.
Old Man Looking Back

He walks in silence alone with his memories.
Sadness fills the moment, joy so distant.
This is the shell of a man who tries not to recall.
Life has left him bereft and without future dreams

When did the path turn so difficult?
When did the world become his prison?
Why did the music stop playing?
How did loneliness become his friend?

Once he was filled with hopes and dreams.
His life was a playground of ideas .
He walked with the gait of a champion
Everyone heard his heartfelt laughter.

Once there were dreams,  now only nightmares.
All has changed, all is not the same as it once was.
He tries so hard to look ahead, but behind him is the past
Ever one step ahead of him
