This neighborhood was not always like this... It was a lot worse
What happened when I was young

And not old and gray

Now let me sit down and think

And we can rumble

Back into my day

The sun was always battling

With the clouds forcing it not to rain

So there was less food in the hood,

Causing people pain

Drugs came out putting generations of people down the drain

Stealing by the insane,

People being slain,

Fires starting without using your brain,

This was a big hurricane

Instead of waking to hear the birds singing

I hear gun shots ringing in my ear

I cannot bare,

To stare,

As a person gets hit in thin air,

Then people walk by and take a glare

None of this sounded fair

I am glad you were not there

To see through my eyes of how this transformed neighborhood use to be
