Short free verse poem. Subject: being a fading memory
My name no longer is a part of your daily lexicon. Seldom evoked
meaning when
         spoken (by others),
         conjures up moldering memories. And
you think, yes, I know this word
as it recedes, shadow upon shadow, to a deepening grave
