After loosing a tennis match..
With a devastated countenance,
I walked to the net, and shook my contrary’s hand.
“Good game”, she said.
I answered nothing, turned my back on her, and walked out of the court.
Another lost game, another failure.
The effort I put to get here was all lost,
All for the simple matter of believing,
That it would be enough to look tough.
But that was not enough,
I trusted myself too much,
And believed that hitting the ball
would simply take me to the top.
But I was wrong,
And now all that’s left is to move on.
I’ve learned from my mistakes
And next time I will be strong,
I will try my best
And will return with a trophy,
No longer looking depressed.
