A child's first act of cruelty. It's all fun and games (for the child that is). Poor cat.
She prances to the kitten and grabs it
with her small and determined hands like claws.
On the swing the girl twists and turns
still grappling the cat in her hands.

The imagination of a four year old is capable of terrible things.
The girl thinks that a kitten plus a swing
means one fun game. Reality says it’s
one devastating game for the defenseless cat.

Oh no! An unforeseen train barrels through the yard
and the cat is thrown quickly out of its imaginary path.
Hooray! The cat is saved! Again! Again!
The cat is tossed out of the way of the train,
but looses a life with every crash landing.
