Courtly Love Poem
Swedish Rose

From the West shall he cometh this knight that is thine,
He follows the Swan Road his forbears defined,
He'll take up his arms, his shield and bright blade,
All for the love of his fair Swedish maid.
Hard is the road with pitfalls and seams,...
Yet onwards he'll travel,
His head filled with dreams.
Nothing shall thwart him, he'll break down his foes,
To kneel at the feet of his sweet Swedish rose........
