this is a poem about addiction , and the loved ones trying to cope , with pain .
I stood helplessly watching you,
and your pleasures, burning black holes
In your brains, sending evil up your nostrils.
I watched sadly as you, saturate yourself,
with this evil thing that brought you
so much pain, and pleasure and more pain,
and I wonder how, you could not see me,
watching you , waiting, praying anxiously,
waiting for your return , from that deep dark valley of insanity,
you have now made your home
waiting , waiting for you , to return,
to light, to love , to sanity.
All the love I have given you,
is not enough to stop you.
All the love you knew ,
you have now discarded,
like worn out shoes.
Now I watch you lie there,
in stillness and dead silence,
in this six feet box of sweet release,
at last your need is extinguished,
and you are at peace.
At last you are still.
