A love poem I wrote for him as a shy attempt to express my fearful self.
Do you know?

We dance every night,

I play the music,

You sing by candlelight.

Last night,

You listened,I told & told.

The secrets kept for a lifetime,

Finally,were willing to unfold.

Do you know?( & don't be amazed)

I love your hands.

Yeah,they're big & dark,

On them,grew green lands,

Where mine,small & pale,

Can safely lark.

Do you know?

At that familiar place,

I always seek your face.

Indifferently (I know),I walk,

Yet,hearing every word

Of your silent talk.

Dear,to you,

Let it not be a surprise.

It's my curse( fear),

For which I (more than you),

Always pay the price.

Do you know?

That I hope you'll know,

Through this very one,

Of my childish poems,

That you are the one.

Do you know?

Do you know?
