Inspired by a short trip to the town of my upbringing.
Nostalgia, an unsettling symphony
Flows through the dark, wintery sky
Draped over the world of my childhood

Endless landscapes once remembered
Seemingly twisted and stretched
Into a clay of uncertainty

Home, familiar in its glory
Yet a stranger in the winter light
Majestic in its new coat

Homeward from home I reminisce
The tangle of streets undisturbed
Brick left frozen in time

This small world I felt
Though not for today
A small shell filled with clay

Nostalgia, a comforting aria
Ends its haunting arrangement
Echoing over the world of my childhood
