Trying to make it through to you.
Beautiful And Desolate

Beautiful and desolate; It’s all You allow me to see
But I reach far beyond that, I hear Your silent plea
I give You my love, try to brighten Your day
But no matter what I do, You still beg to fade away

Beautiful and desolate; The running colors of a mask
I see that You need help…I really wish You’d ask
I say it over and over I’m here until the end
Until You leave or want me gone, until Your heart can mend

Beautiful and desolate; The result of the worlds harsh lies
You want to help, You feel the need, the desire to quiet their cries
Your pain comes second next to the world, but You need to understand
The world isn’t Your responsibility, You can’t offer everyone a hand

Beautiful and desolate; Don’t You trust me to stay around?
You don’t need to hide from me…I’ll never leave You here to drown
If life was made of a song, You’d be my calming lullabies
Have faith in this, it’ll be okay, just look into my eyes

Beautiful and desolate; Stand strong and firm to Your belief’s
Don’t let humanity bring You down, cynicism is a deadly disease
No need for feeling sorrow, we'll dance through all the rain
It’s You and me against the world, held together by our violet chain
