We had to do a poem based on a picture that we all had to draw. I picked one of an attic.
Alone in the dark
Hearing the thumping
Swallowing hard
Shaking with fear
Up the attic steps
The footsteps seem to echo
Cringing in fear
Bravely opening the door
A black mass
Moves swiftly through the wall
Screaming
The door slams shut
Crying and begging
The air turns frigid
The lights go out
No longer alone
They fill the small dark room
Crowding it
So there is no escape
No way to survive…
The next morning
They find the latest victim
Hanging…..
