Sea of Humanity

I tread alone this sea of humanity,
unnoticed,
as currents hurry here
and hurry there,
their souls consumed -
texting, blackberries, blue tooth conversations.
And as they part
to flow around me,
a blip on the screen,
tears flood my soul
drowning me.
