Don't talk to strangers
A large fan on the ceiling was mixing smoke and dust together into a cloud of musty smell. The trumpet player did an adequate performance on stage.

Sitting with my boss in this club was not my first choice. He invited me after we finished a "birds of a feather" meeting at the office. I hate it when he suggests socializing in these night clubs. I didn't dare to pass on this occasion.

"Hey boss, that was a great idea. Do you visit this club often?"

"No. A friend recommended it to me. I'm glad you like it."

He had no idea how much I hated these dark bars. But at least, none of my colleagues came with us, so I could score some extra points over them.

"You bet! Great music. Excuse me for a moment".

I headed for the bathroom, not quite sure if I was going to vomit or just to pee, but I needed to leave this stink for a while. When I entered a stall, I decided against vomiting. I knew that somebody in the department will get promoted soon, so I could stand it for while longer.

"Hey buddy, are you okay?"

A  pale but muscular stranger who didn't look like making small talk in the bathroom approached me. I considered vomiting again when somebody else - my boss - came through the door. I felt a slight relief, since it would lower the odds of being robbed by a stranger.

"He is fresh!" my boss said, addressing the pale guy. "Have fun!"

When the stranger threw him a smile, I could see his protruding teeth. I had no time to recover from my surprise when I felt the painful sting in my neck and lost my conscious.
