This is a working title
I've never slept, as well,
On anyone's lap in Penn Station
Where the bums and drunks and
Schizophrenics crowded the floor like garbage
Trying to escape the rain.

Even through the piss-stink air
Filled with mad, invisible conversations,
Your lips and your eyes never lost me;
I'm still lost in your eyes and
The memory of your lips on my kiss.

I said it in Times Square
Where you took my breath away
Under the lights in --
Your eyes said everything
Except nothing that night.

Say what you will about
Love and American boys, but
When you smile at me, perfect
In the morning with sleepy eyes,
I'll never sleep, as well.
